About the Role
We are currently offering rewarding caregiving opportunities on a casual basis at Palms Lifecare and Village. This role allows for a flexible schedule, including AM, PM, night shifts, and weekends, as needed. As a caregiver, each day presents unique challenges and rewards, providing you with the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our residents. You will work in a supportive environment where your team will feel like a second family, and your professional development is a priority.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with your team to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents.
- Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
- Build lasting relationships with residents and their families.
- Provide support to your team members, contributing to a positive workplace culture.
Requirements
To thrive in this position, you should possess:
- A strong team spirit, empathy, and a genuine desire to enhance the lives of others.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with computers and a willingness to learn new systems.
- A NZQA Level 2 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a relevant qualification is preferred, though not essential.
- Experience in aged care is beneficial but not mandatory.
- An understanding of the Nga Paerewa sector standards and the application of the Treaty of Waitangi principles in the workplace.
