    Description

About the Company Tradestaff Global is excited to announce an opportunity for skilled Telehandler and Skid-Steer Operators to join our team for a unique assignment at McMurdo Station in Antarctica during the Summer of 2025/26. This is a chance to experience one of the most remote and stunning locations on Earth while contributing to vital construction projects. About the Role We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals who are ready for an adventure. The deployment is expected to begin in October 2025 and continue through March 2026. These roles require a strong work ethic and a commitment to teamwork, as you will be living and working in a challenging environment for several months. As part of our team, you will be involved in a large commercial construction project. Your responsibilities will include delivering parts and materials, assisting the Logistics Supervisor with daily operations, and operating plant machinery such as Bobcats and Telehandlers. To qualify, you will need to hold a Class 2 Driver License with WTR endorsements. Requirements Due to travel restrictions, we can only accept applications from New Zealand and US citizens with New Zealand or US passports who are currently living and working in New Zealand. Additionally, candidates must be willing to receive the Flu, Tdap, and MMR vaccinations. Please note that these roles are not fly-in-fly-out; you will be on-site for an extended period working long hours, typically six days a week. Start dates may vary based on medical and dental checks, security clearance, notice periods, and flight availability. Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and possess a clean criminal record. The application process can be lengthy, so patience is essential. You may also need to travel to Tauranga for medical and dental exams, and we will cover the costs of testing and flights for those traveling from outside the Bay of Plenty. Benefits We offer a competitive compensation rate of $66.11 per hour, paid fortnightly in New Zealand dollars for 54 hours of work each week. We will also provide flights from any major New Zealand airport, food, shared accommodation, and travel insurance. While the work is demanding, it is also rewarding. You will have the opportunity to save money, gain invaluable experience, and forge lasting friendships in a truly extraordinary setting. What Now? If you are interested in this exceptional opportunity, please submit your application online, including an updated CV that details your commercial construction skills and experience. If your application is successful, we will reach out with further information regarding the interview and verification process. Candidates should be IT literate, have strong attention to detail, and be able to manage complex paperwork. We encourage you to seize this adventure. Apply online today and take the first step towards an unforgettable experience! Please note that we only accept online applications, and you will receive an automatic acknowledgment upon successful submission. We also offer a wide range of roles across the construction industry, including positions for Carpenters, Machine Operators, Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC Technicians, Duct Installers, Pipefitters, Welders, and more.
