About the Role Our client, a well-established company with a strong reputation for quality construction products and services throughout the South Island, is currently seeking skilled operators for their Construction Division. With a team of 24 highly skilled professionals focused on delivering infrastructure projects of all sizes, our client emphasizes quality, timely delivery, and value for money. This position, based in Dunedin but with work throughout the greater Otago region, involves operating various excavators and small machinery for civil drainage work, stormwater and water main infrastructure, as well as residential and commercial drainlaying. The company boasts a full workload and an excellent working environment, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria: - A full Class 1 driver’s license (Class 2 or 4 preferred) - Current WTR endorsements - Proven experience as a competent operator in drainage, excavating inside trench shields, and sheet piling - A reliable team member with a strong willingness to contribute - A solid focus on safety and quality standards - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test - Full working rights to operate in New Zealand (please note that sponsorship is not available) Benefits We offer a competitive pay rate that will be negotiated during the interview process, with weekly payments. There are ample opportunities for overtime, typically ranging from 40 to 50 hours per week.
