About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers both permanent part-time and full-time options. In this role, you will focus on delivering high-quality housing modification assessments and reports in accordance with the ACC contract. You will collaborate closely with clients, their families, builders, and other professionals to ensure that homes are safe, accessible, and tailored to meet individual needs.
In addition to housing modifications, your caseload may include other ACC contract work, providing you with a diverse range of opportunities to work with clients who present with various co-morbidities, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, and complex trauma. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist in New Zealand with a current Practising Certificate
- Proven experience, ideally in housing modifications under the ACC contract
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and home design principles is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office 365
- Effective time management skills and a willingness to travel
- A valid and clean driver's license
