About the Role We are currently seeking a part-time Booking Clerk for Waikato Hospital on a fixed-term basis until February 2027. This role involves being a primary point of contact for families reaching out to our service and ensuring an efficient and high-quality booking process. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and trustworthy team player who excels in clear communication and can thrive in a busy environment. The position is expected to commence around mid-February 2026 and involves working 20 hours per week. Key Responsibilities - Serve as the main contact on the phone line for Waikids. - Efficiently manage planned and waiting lists. - Handle multiple busy shared email inboxes. - Provide coverage during receptionist breaks. - Support and cover for other booking clerks as needed. - Adapt to frequent changes in the work environment. About Hamilton Waikato Hospital is a major regional and tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand. With approximately 722 inpatient beds, 22 operating theatres, and a dedicated outpatient clinic, Waikato Hospital offers comprehensive services, including radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy.
