About the Company We are a reputable deep-sea factory trawler operator based out of the Port of Timaru, specializing in surimi and H&G seasons. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality and efficiency while operating within New Zealand's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). About the Role We are currently inviting applications for full-time seagoing positions on our factory freezer trawler. The role involves voyages lasting between four to six weeks with brief port turnarounds. We have several positions available, including: - Fishing Master - Captains - First and Second Officers (Mates) - Bosuns - Factory Manager (Surimi) - Manager (H&G and Squid) - Chief Engineer - Second Engineer - Factory Engineer - System Engineer Please note that all positions will require working in the factory to process the catch for extended periods. Requirements We encourage you to apply if you meet the following criteria: - You have previous deep-sea fishing experience. - You possess qualifications relevant to the position you are applying for. - You are able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug testing. - You are a New Zealand citizen or hold a residence class visa. We also provide sponsored training opportunities for advanced Deck Hand (ADH_F) training or Marine Engineer (MEC 6) training at the Nelson International Maritime Institution, subject to certain conditions.
