About the Company We are a reputable fishing company operating a factory freezer trawler based out of the Port of Timaru. Our focus is on harvesting high-quality seafood within the New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team for the surimi and H&G seasons. About the Role We invite applications for full-time seagoing positions on our factory freezer trawler. The duration of our voyages typically ranges from four to six weeks, with brief port turnarounds. Available positions include: - Sub Bosuns - Engineers - Cooks - Assistant Chef - Health Officer - Deck Crew (Trawl and Factory) Please note that all positions will involve working in the factory to process the catch for extended periods. Requirements We encourage you to apply if you meet the following criteria: - Previous deep-sea fishing experience - Relevant qualifications for the position you are applying for - Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug testing - New Zealand citizenship or a residence class visa In addition, we offer additional benefits during the first year of employment, which may include food parcels, supermarket vouchers, and return flights. We also provide sponsored training opportunities for advanced Deck Hand (ADH_F) training or Marine Engineer (MEC 6) training at the Nelson International Maritime Institution, subject to conditions.
