    About the Company PSEC is one of the largest providers of social and health services in New Zealand. Our East Coast team comprises over 200 staff members and 100 volunteers dedicated to various services, including Enliven and Family Works, as well as two charity shops. About the Role We are currently seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to join our disability support services team at Enliven Disability Services. Our mission is to support young people under 65 living with disabilities, helping them to imagine, create, and live fulfilling lives. As a Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team that strives to make a positive impact in the local community. In this role, you will support individuals with physical disabilities residing in their homes on Middle Road, Havelock North. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about disability support. While prior experience in the sector is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates should either hold a certificate or diploma in Health and Well-being or be willing to work towards obtaining one. Your responsibilities will include providing recreational and social support to enable our clients to participate in everyday activities within their homes and communities. You will also provide personal care and be open to participating in further training and education sessions to enhance your skills. The hours for this position are as follows: - 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM - 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM - 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM The salary ranges from $23.84 to $29.10 per hour, depending on qualifications. Requirements In this role, you will be expected to: - Deliver support in accordance with each person's individualized care plan. - Safely use a hoist. - Assist with personal care and medication administration. - Travel for out-of-town meetings or activities as needed. - Complete household tasks, including cleaning and cooking. - Act as a key liaison between clients and their families, as well as other groups involved in their lives. - Maintain accurate records of the support provided. - Help ensure a safe, clean, and functional home environment. While knowledge and experience in the field are desirable, they are not essential as training will be provided. Successful candidates should be patient, passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities, and committed to helping others reach their full potential. We value team players who are eager to continue their professional development, ideally working towards a Level 4 qualification in Health and Well-being.
