About the Role
We are currently seeking Healthcare Assistants to join our team, working between 20 to 30 hours per week, including AM, PM, and Night shifts. In this role, you will provide essential support to our residents in their daily living and social activities while encouraging them to maintain their independence and make their own decisions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering the highest standard of personalized care to each resident
- Supporting and encouraging residents to maintain their independence
- Assisting with activities of daily living in alignment with the Eden principles and the Domains of Wellbeing
- Working under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse
- Ensuring residents' needs are addressed effectively and in a timely manner
About You
We are looking for individuals who share our passion for the wellbeing of older people. You should be enthusiastic, patient, well-organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Our ideal candidate will embody our values of empathy, compassion, and respect. Additionally, you will have:
- Previous experience in aged care or a related healthcare assistant or support worker role preferred, but not essential
- A willingness to obtain qualifications while working
- The ability to be an active team member
- Good verbal communication and documentation skills
- Basic computer skills
