About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for operating, optimizing, training, and maintaining the extrusion assets of the Corma, Beier, and similar extruders. Your role is crucial in ensuring continuous and efficient extrusion operations while adhering to our established methods and practices.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate and monitor the continuous flow of extrusion operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Your focus will be on optimizing these processes for ongoing improvement.
You will also be responsible for pre-start readiness, completing daily production reports, conducting operator and quality control checks, and ensuring all necessary production paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Maintaining high standards of quality is essential, and you will conduct all necessary inspections and respond appropriately to issues that arise. Your role will involve monitoring production quality to minimize avoidable waste, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
In addition, you will complete training modules for new team members in collaboration with the Process Manager and Manufacturing Manager, as well as assess the skills of existing team members. A thorough understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and quality systems is required, and you will be encouraged to share insights for potential improvements.
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of extrusion experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastic extrusion plants. You should possess in-depth knowledge of extruders, including electrical systems, drivers, processors, and screw and barrel checks, as well as optimization techniques.
A strong technical aptitude, focus on solutions and results, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are essential attributes for this role. You should also have a process-driven mindset and a keen eye for detail, along with practical experience and understanding of production health and safety standards.
