About the Role
We are currently seeking a Weapons Repair Technician. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include hands-on repair and maintenance of our customer’s weapons fleet, which includes small arms, support weapons, artillery, and armored vehicles. You will also perform scheduled servicing, testing, and evaluation on the weapons fleet, while providing technical solutions and advice to meet business and customer requirements.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have hands-on experience in all aspects of small arms and weapons systems servicing, repair, and maintenance. You should also hold a recognized qualification in Weapons Repair from the New Zealand Defence Force. A full Class 1 vehicle license is required, and ideally, you will also possess a New Zealand Firearms license.

Special Requirements
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a New Zealand Defence Security Clearance by meeting one of the following criteria:
- A New Zealand citizen
- A New Zealand permanent resident who has resided in New Zealand for the past 10 years
- A citizen of Australia, Canada, the UK, or the USA who holds a current work permit for New Zealand
Additionally, you will be required to undergo pre-employment activities, which include drug screening and vetting by New Zealand Police.
