About the Role
We are currently seeking a hands-on, self-motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team in Whangārei. In this full-time role, you will be the first line of defense against pests, providing expert advice and proactive service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of clients across the Whangārei region and servicing a wider area from Kaiwaka to Kaitaia. The workweek typically runs from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts and varied start times.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- A clean criminal record
- A genuine love for the outdoors and our local environments
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain and grow client relationships
- A safety-first mindset with the ability to follow strict and evolving health and safety procedures
- Confidence in using an Android mobile phone and related applications
- Comfort working independently in the field while embracing a collaborative team mentality
- Willingness to travel long distances and stay overnight when necessary
- Physical strength and capability to work outdoors in varying environmental conditions
While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable:
- Previous knowledge of pest control methods and regulations
- New Zealand Certificate in Pest Operations (Level 3) - Urban Pest Control
- Working at Heights and EWP licences and experience
- Current NZ Firearm Licence
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle
