About the Role
We are pleased to announce an exciting internal opportunity for the position of Operations Manager - Critical Care. This is a fixed-term role for six months, requiring 80 hours per fortnight, and is open exclusively to our current staff. As the Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Director and be responsible for leading the operational delivery of Critical Care Services.
In this role, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of services within allocated resources. You will work closely with clinical leaders across various disciplines, including medical, nursing, midwifery, allied health, and technical fields. Your contributions will be vital in strategic planning, service development, and performance management, ensuring that our services meet the needs of both local and regional populations.
About the Service
The Surgery and Anaesthesia Directorate provides a comprehensive range of services, which include:
- Surgical Services: Offering both acute and elective surgical interventions across multiple specialties.
- Anaesthesia: Providing tertiary-level anaesthetic support for surgical, medical, and specialty services.
- Critical Care: Delivering intensive care for critically unwell or injured patients.
- Sterile Services: Managing the centralized reprocessing and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of five years of operational and strategic leadership experience within a complex healthcare environment.
- A proven ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships across diverse professional groups.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to lead through influence and inspire high-performing teams.
- Experience managing complex service dynamics, including workforce, resource, and stakeholder challenges.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and cultural change management skills.
