Location: Dunedin Port About the Role We are currently seeking candidates for permanent part-time and casual positions across various roles within our operations. The available positions include: - Ships Crane Operators: You will be responsible for operating ship cranes to load and unload cargo, including logs and bulk products. - Excavator Operators: In this role, you will operate an excavator equipped with a log grapple or bucket inside the vessel. - Wheeled Excavator (Material Handler) with Grapple: Your tasks will include unloading log trucks, stacking logs in rows, and loading logs onto purpose-built log trailers for transportation within the port. - Wheel Loader Operators: You will unload log trucks and rail wagons, and load logs onto specialized log trailers for movement within the port. - Terminal Tractor Operators: This role involves moving semi-trailers across short distances within the port. As part of a specialized team of stevedores and log marshallers, you will receive training in a variety of tasks. While we prefer candidates with experience, we are also open to training enthusiastic individuals who are eager to build a long-term career in this industry. Requirements We are looking for candidates who ideally have experience operating cranes, diggers, or loaders. Experience in log handling is also advantageous.
