About the Company
We are a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to delivering high-quality embroidered products. Our team thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment where collaboration and expertise are key to our success. We are currently looking for an experienced professional to join us as an Embroidery Machine Operator.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial embroidery machines and executing precise design work. Your contributions will play a vital part in our product development process, as we seek to align our embroidery techniques with seasonal collections. This position requires a blend of technical embroidery skills and fashion design knowledge, making it essential to our operations.
Key Responsibilities
You will operate and maintain industrial embroidery machines, such as Tajima or Brother, to produce high-quality embroidered garments. Your ability to interpret design briefs and digital embroidery files (DST, PES) will be crucial in executing our designs accurately.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with our fashion design and production teams to ensure that our embroidery techniques complement the seasonal collections. You will adjust machine settings, select appropriate threads and stabilizers, and monitor tension and stitching quality to maintain our high standards.
Additionally, you will conduct routine maintenance and basic repairs on the machinery to minimize downtime. Ensuring that all finished products meet our standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and durability will be one of your top priorities. There may also be opportunities for you to train junior staff or assist in upskilling other team members as required. Finally, you will maintain accurate records of production output and quality control.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have at least three years of full-time experience operating industrial embroidery machines. A qualification in Fashion Design or a related field at NZQF Level 4 or higher (or an equivalent overseas qualification) is essential.
You must demonstrate the ability to interpret and digitize embroidery files, with experience in software such as Wilcom or Pulse preferred. A deep understanding of garment construction, textiles, and embellishment techniques is necessary, along with a high attention to detail and strong technical precision. The ability to work independently and manage production timelines is also important.
Benefits
Joining our team means being part of an innovative and supportive work environment where your skills and ideas are valued. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for professional development. If you are passionate about embroidery and fashion design and meet the qualifications outlined above, we invite you to apply and become a valuable member of our team.
