About the Company We are a dynamic bakery located in Hamilton, known for our commitment to quality and excellence. Our team is passionate about creating delicious baked goods, and we are looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Bakers. About the Role We are currently seeking two Bakers to become part of our busy team. This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum of 30 hours and up to 40 hours per week. In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following tasks: - Cleaning dishes, kitchen areas, and utensils while adhering to our cleaning and infection control procedures - Ensuring that the quality of raw materials meets our standards - Weighing ingredients for various baked products - Preparing pastry fillings and making pastry products - Determining baking times and oven temperatures by assessing product appearance - Forming, loading, baking, unloading, depanning, and cooling batches of bread, rolls, and other pastry items - Decorating cakes with cream and icing, as well as glazing buns and pastries - Operating machines for rolling and molding dough - Conducting regular cleaning and stock checks Requirements To be successful in this position, candidates should meet the following criteria: - A relevant New Zealand Certificate Level 4 or higher qualification, or at least three years of relevant work experience - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment - A good level of physical fitness - Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a professional team - A strong sense of responsibility and reliability - Willingness to accept flexible working hours, including rostered shifts - Availability to work on weekends and public holidays - Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with colleagues and customers - Honesty, trustworthiness, and a well-presented appearance - Compliance with our health and safety policies Benefits Joining our team means being part of a collaborative and supportive work environment.
