About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Baker or someone with equivalent experience who shares our passion for high-quality bakery products. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who leads by example and is dedicated to setting and maintaining high standards. This role requires excellent personal presentation, a desire to excel, and a commitment to ongoing improvement for both oneself and the department. The position involves working approximately 40 to 45 hours per week, including weekend shifts, which will be discussed further during the interview process. Requirements The successful candidate will demonstrate the following: - A vibrant personality with effective communication skills, enabling interaction with both customers and staff. - A minimum of five years of experience in a bakery or a similar retail environment. - Strong negotiation skills. - A collaborative spirit and an appreciation for teamwork. - Excellent organizational abilities and a thorough understanding of legislative requirements, in-store procedures, and quality standards. - The capability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively. - A willingness to learn new skills and focus on continuous improvement. - Outstanding customer service skills. - Flexibility in working hours. - A clean record, integrity, and a commitment to high standards of presentation. - New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
