About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Class 5 Operator to join our dynamic team in Timaru. In this role, you will operate a well-maintained fleet while contributing to our general freight operations. Experience with steel handling and interisland transport is advantageous. We value good habits regarding vehicle care; it is essential that you maintain a clean and tidy cab. Flexibility is key, as your schedule will adapt to meet business demands and seasonal needs. Work Pattern This is a full-time, permanent position with a regular roster. You will work dayshifts from Monday to Friday, with availability required every second weekend. Expect average shifts of 10 to 12 hours. What You Bring to the Table To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills: - A Class 5 Licence (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of experience. - Preferred endorsements include F and DG, along with an OSH Certificate, although these are not essential. - Experience with flatdeck operations is preferred but not mandatory. - An ability to learn and adapt to new technology. - A strong passion for teamwork and customer service; we encourage you to share your favorite experiences in this area.
