We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a Registered Electrician to join the maintenance team at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. This role offers a chance to work in one of the most extraordinary and remote environments on Earth. About the Role As a Registered Electrician at McMurdo Station, you will contribute to the maintenance and operation of vital electrical systems in a challenging setting. You will have the opportunity to experience the breathtaking natural beauty of Antarctica while working alongside a dedicated team. Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica (approximately 1,000 residents during the summer season) Compensation: - $50 per hour for wages - $60 per hour for contracting We offer two intake periods for this position; you may choose one or opt to stay for both: Intake 1: October 2025 – February 2026 Intake 2: February 2026 – October 2026 What to Expect During Your Stay - Accommodation is provided in a shared room. - Meals are complimentary, offering good quality food, though not Michelin-starred. - Free flights from any major New Zealand airport. - Work schedule is Monday to Saturday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
