About the Role We are looking for a clinical leader who possesses solid quality and risk management expertise to take on a vital role within our hospital. In this position, you will oversee quality systems, implement risk frameworks, and conduct audits while supporting a dedicated team of experienced professionals. Your ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels, from theatre managers to the Board, will be essential for your success. What You Will Step Into - You will be part of a stable team, with four direct reports, each having over 20 years of tenure. - You will serve as the hospital's primary voice for clinical quality, risk, and governance. - Our culture emphasizes the value of our people, offering daily morning tea, a Christmas shutdown, and excellent staff retention. - You will enjoy five weeks of annual leave along with a competitive salary package. - Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from engaging in board meetings to collaborating with frontline staff. Your Background We seek candidates who are: - A New Zealand Registered Nurse or another health professional with a current practising certificate. - An experienced clinical leader with 5 to 10 years in operational and hospital management. - Proven leaders in quality, risk, and audit within the healthcare sector, ideally in a surgical setting. - Individuals with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and managing difficult conversations. - Calm, collaborative, and committed to providing patient-centred care. - Skilled in quality systems, policy development, and continuous improvement.
