About the Role We are currently seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our South Island General Transport division. This position is designed for a proven leader who can effectively balance people management, performance, and growth while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will: - Lead by example, inspiring, coaching, and developing your team to ensure exceptional service and safety on a daily basis. - Drive operational excellence by overseeing general transport operations, fleet utilization, compliance, rostering, and productivity. - Foster business growth by building and strengthening relationships with customers, identifying new opportunities, and delivering value at every interaction. - Manage performance by monitoring key performance indicators, costs, and resources to maintain an efficient, profitable, and sustainable operation. - Champion safety and compliance by embedding a “Safe Work, Safe Home” culture and ensuring we are always prepared for audits. - Optimize our fleet and future by ensuring that vehicles are well-maintained, efficient, and operating to the highest standards.
