About the Role
We are currently seeking Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will assist individuals in maintaining a high quality of life and a comfortable home environment, while also encouraging their active participation in the community. As a member of our POOL staff, you will have the opportunity to work across various homes and shifts, filling in for staff on leave or attending training sessions. Please note that your shift pattern may vary from week to week, but you will receive your schedule in advance.
These positions are available on a fixed-term basis from January 2026 until February 2026, with start and finish dates negotiable. We are looking for individuals who are available to work all shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Passion for People: You should be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand and connect genuinely with others.
- Empathy & Understanding: A grasp of the Enabling Good Lives principles is essential.
- Team Player: You should be professional, honest, and reliable, with a flexible mindset that values teamwork.
- Practical Skills: The ability to perform personal care tasks, including showering and dressing, is necessary.
- Driver Licence: A full New Zealand Driver Licence is required, as driving a MASH van will be part of your responsibilities.
- Flexibility: Availability during the holiday period is essential.
