About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team. In this full-time position, you will work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by maintaining and repairing vital medical equipment used in hospitals, aged care homes, and private settings. Your contributions will ensure the comfort, safety, and independence of those who rely on this equipment.
What You’ll Get
You will enjoy a stable and secure working environment with permanent, full-time hours. We provide the necessary tools for the job, including a take-home van, phone, laptop, tools, and uniform. You will receive comprehensive support from day one, including a solid induction and a buddy system to help you settle in. There are opportunities for professional growth, allowing you to develop into senior or specialist roles over time. Most importantly, you will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a variety of low-voltage medical equipment, such as hospital beds, patient lifts, and mobility gear. You will conduct annual safety checks and calibrations to ensure that all equipment is operating safely. Maintaining your own mobile workspace, which includes a company van and parts, is essential. You will accurately log your jobs using service management software and provide calm, reassuring support in sensitive environments, ranging from aged care facilities to rehabilitation centers.
You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you should have at least two years of experience in a mechanical, electronic, or hands-on service technician position. Current ESTA or EAS registration is required, or you must be willing to work towards EWRB certification. Strong time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. You should possess strong IT skills and hold a clean full New Zealand driver’s license. A compassionate and professional approach is vital, as you will be working in healthcare environments. You must also be willing to undergo drug/alcohol, police, and ACC checks.
