About the Role We are seeking a skilled and passionate maintenance technician to join our growing team at the Christchurch Processing Centre. In this role, you will service and maintain our parcel and letter sorting machinery to ensure they meet our operational needs. Your responsibilities will include fault finding, addressing issues as they arise, and performing regular planned maintenance. We are looking for individuals with backgrounds in mechanical, electrical, or maintenance engineering. If you are eager to enhance your electrical skills and knowledge, and gain qualifications in this field, this is a fantastic opportunity. We will provide full training and support to help you succeed. About You We are looking for either an experienced maintenance engineer, electrician, or service technician who enjoys fault finding and is a practical problem solver. You should remain calm and logical under pressure, ensuring that any breakdowns are resolved efficiently. A positive and flexible attitude is essential, as well as a commitment to delivering excellent service to our customers. To be successful in this role, you will need: - Either New Zealand Electrical Registration or Electrical Service Technician Registration with papers A and B - A Mechanical Engineering qualification - A minimum of two years' experience as an electrical or mechanical technician - Control system or programming experience (desirable) Hours / Roster All our technicians must be prepared to work a rotational roster, which includes a mix of day, afternoon, and night shifts, as well as some weekends.
