About the Role We are looking for experienced Leading Hands who are ready to take charge on-site. In this role, you will be responsible for the full build of retaining walls, including timber, quay stone, and block. You will operate machinery, particularly diggers and augers for piling and drilling, while effectively managing daily site operations. Your leadership will guide small crews to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards. If you enjoy working outdoors, have a hands-on approach, and possess strong technical skills, this opportunity may be the perfect fit for you. What You'll Be Doing - Overseeing the complete construction of retaining walls using various materials. - Operating machinery, specifically diggers and augers for piling and drilling. - Reading and interpreting project plans to ensure jobs are executed according to specifications. - Managing day-to-day site operations and maintaining clear communication with clients. - Leading and collaborating with your crew to deliver quality results. What We're Looking For - Proven experience in building retaining walls from start to finish. - Strong skills in operating machinery, with auger drilling and piling experience considered advantageous. - Ability to interpret construction plans, manage materials effectively, and maintain a clean site. - Excellent communication skills, with confidence in dealing with clients and contractors. - A full New Zealand driver’s license.
