We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork, and we are currently looking to expand our team with skilled Electrical Trade Assistants for a variety of projects across Canterbury.
About the Role
We have multiple openings for reliable, safety-conscious individuals who are eager to work alongside our experienced tradesmen. In this position, you will be involved in a range of tasks including:
- Manufacturing brackets in accordance with engineering specifications while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and legislation.
- Fabricating and installing cable trays and supports as required.
- Installing cables following established electrical practices.
- Installing equipment according to engineering best practices.
- Working under the guidance of supervisors to meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Monitoring work progress and reporting any delays or issues to the Leading Hand or Supervisor.
- Performing other related tasks as reasonably required.
We are looking for candidates who possess a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Effective communication with supervisors, taking ownership of responsibilities, and contributing positively to the team environment are essential qualities we seek.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- A minimum of one year of experience in a similar position related to electrical installation, repairs, or maintenance, or hold a relevant trade qualification.
- The ability to provide references that support your work history.
Benefits
In terms of compensation and working conditions, we offer:
- An hourly rate of $25 - $30, depending on experience.
- A minimum of 30 hours per week, with the potential for up to 50 hours based on project needs.
- Workdays from Monday to Saturday.
- Opportunities available across various locations including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Manawatu/Horowhenua, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland.
For those willing to travel between regions, we provide accommodation and other allowances.
