About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Canterbury plant near Ashburton. This is a permanent, full-time position that operates on a rotating roster. The primary purpose of this role is to support our Engineering team in ensuring the production process runs smoothly. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining all electrical equipment on site, adhering to food safety regulations and New Zealand wiring standards.
This is a fast-paced environment, and the successful candidate should be prepared for a varied and busy workday. Strong organizational skills and enthusiasm for a processing environment are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- A current practicing certificate as a New Zealand Registered Electrician
- A considerable understanding of health and safety requirements in a processing or manufacturing environment
- Proven knowledge and experience, ideally five years or more, with electrical systems and electronics specifically in manufacturing or food processing industries
- Competent computer skills
- Familiarity with monitoring and auditing systems for compliance
- Ability to diagnose issues related to electrical and process control
- A working knowledge of mechanical systems
