About the Role We are currently seeking experienced midwives for casual roles within our dynamic Maternity Services team. As a Clinical Midwife Coordinator (CMC), you will be essential in providing day-to-day clinical support, leadership, and coordination of our staff, systems, and resources. Collaborating with a dedicated group of CMCs and Senior Midwives, you will help ensure seamless patient care, maintain patient flow, and facilitate safe and timely admissions, transfers, and discharges. Our maternity services are recognized nationally for their innovative programs aimed at improving maternal and infant health. About You As a compassionate and skilled midwife, you possess a wealth of experience and a genuine commitment to providing the highest standard of care. Your excellent communication skills and cultural awareness enable you to connect with diverse communities and deliver culturally safe care. You are motivated by the desire to address health inequities and improve outcomes for all, particularly for vulnerable groups. Your dedication to clinical excellence and continuous improvement distinguishes you as a leader in your field. In addition, you will need to demonstrate the following key attributes and skills: - Hold a current New Zealand Midwifery Annual Practising Certificate - Be team-focused with exceptional communication skills - Be computer literate - Have a strong understanding of Tikanga and cultural safety - Maintain a focus on addressing health inequities and improving outcomes for Māori, Pasifika, and other vulnerable groups - Strive for clinical excellence - Be able to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment Working at Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are committed to "the weaving of wellness."
