We are seeking a Residential Leading Hand for a temporary position with a Christchurch-based company that is actively engaged in constructing multiple townhouses throughout the area. Our team prides itself on quality workmanship and a commitment to excellence in construction.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced or qualified carpenter with ideally 3 to 4 years of experience who is ready to take on demanding work and has a proven track record in leading a team. Once you join us on-site, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills through a variety of tasks, which include but are not limited to:
- Timber or Steel Framing
- Flooring
- Formwork and Steel Fixing
- Fit Outs and Joinery
- Exterior Cladding
- Architraves and Steel Stud Work
- Interior Finishing Work
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified carpenter with a solid work history that showcases extensive experience in multi-storey construction. You should possess the ability to assist site managers with daily operations, including managing staff, ensuring quality control, and upholding health and safety standards. Professionalism is essential, as you will be expected to set a positive example for your team members on-site.
