About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time STMS (Site Traffic Management Supervisor) to join our team in Timaru. This role guarantees a minimum of 40 hours of work per week, with penal rates applicable for overtime and weekend shifts. As an STMS, you will be instrumental in managing temporary traffic management systems, ensuring that road closures and diversions are executed safely and efficiently. You will lead your team confidently, conduct briefings, and mentor junior staff members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and overseeing traffic management plans.
- Leading toolbox meetings and providing clear job expectations.
- Training and mentoring junior STMS staff.
- Ensuring the safety of the crew, subcontractors, and the public.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should be a physically fit and motivated individual with the following qualifications:
- A Full Class 2 Driver’s License is required.
- An STMS warrant (A/B or Level 1/2) is preferred.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality work.
- Adaptability and a willingness to take on outdoor challenges.
