About the Role
We are currently seeking a Feedlot Stockperson to join our dynamic team. This permanent position focuses on the supervision and care of our beef cattle, ensuring their wellbeing and health.
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting daily checks on cattle wellbeing and health
- Drafting cattle to meet market specifications
- Administering stock treatments
- Managing the receival and departure of cattle, including EID scanning
- Maintaining accurate stock records using our computerized system
- Operating machinery such as JCBs, feed trucks, and tractors
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Physical fitness, strength, and mobility
- Experience in handling cattle
- Familiarity with drenching, vaccinating, and tagging cattle is preferred
- Intermediate equestrian skills are an advantage
- Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Capability to work both as part of a close-knit team and independently when required
