About the Role
We are seeking a versatile individual to join our team in a full-time capacity, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. In this role, you will engage with customers at our trade counter, yard, and Drive Thru area. You will also collaborate with our account managers and assist in supporting our key customers and suppliers in trade sales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers with a friendly demeanor and providing outstanding service.
- Addressing customer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Offering product advice, quotes, and pricing information tailored to customer needs.
- Supporting inwards goods by accurately checking and receipting products into our systems.
- Conducting cycle counting, stocking, and rotating products on shelves.
- Loading and unloading vehicles as required.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
- Strong organizational skills and reliability as a team player who enjoys working closely with others.
- A customer-focused and outgoing attitude, coupled with a solid work ethic.
- Flexibility to work across multiple departments throughout the day.
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a retail sales or sales support environment.
- Physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling and some heavy lifting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with our valued customers.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work proactively, independently, and under pressure.
- Competence in computer literacy, particularly in Outlook, Word, and general software, with training provided on our in-house systems.
- A full New Zealand driver’s license is essential, and a forklift license is an advantage.
