Description
Location: Wellington / Kenepuru / Kapiti
Contract: Fixed Term (until 10 November 2025), Part Time (0.4 FTE / 16 hours per week)
About the Company
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders. We are focused on building a health system grounded in partnership, equity, sustainability, and whanau-centered care. Our goal is to achieve excellence in healthcare delivery through integration and collaboration.
About the Role
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced pelvic health physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Allied Health Team at Capital and Coast on a fixed-term contract. This position spans across multiple locations, including Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Community Hospital, and Kapiti Health Centre.
As one of three pelvic health physiotherapists in our team, you will manage your own clinical caseload, which includes conducting class and group sessions, and may involve supervising students and junior physiotherapists. In this role, you will assess and treat individuals with pelvic health issues, addressing both acute and chronic presentations.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Allied Health Outpatient Team consists of skilled, motivated, and dynamic therapists who are passionate about improving patient function, quality of life, and outcomes. Operating across all three CCDHB sites, we provide clinical care through individual appointments, group sessions, and multidisciplinary team clinics.
The team includes physiotherapists specializing in pelvic health, haemophilia, lymphoedema, and respiratory care, as well as podiatrists, dietitians, and social workers. You will also collaborate with experienced physiotherapists in areas such as musculoskeletal care and hand therapy.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with at least 4-5 years of post-graduate experience, ideally with a minimum of one year in pelvic health physiotherapy. You must be a registered physiotherapist in New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Experience in pelvic health outpatient work is essential, along with completion of at least one postgraduate internal examination course.
Your passion for pelvic health should be evident, and you should be comfortable facilitating both group and individual sessions. While you will work autonomously, you will have the support of your pelvic health colleagues in Wellington and the wider outpatient therapies team. A current driver's license is also required.
