About the Role We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an experienced Musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist to join our team. This position will primarily be based at the therapies outpatient facility at Wellington Regional Hospital but may also involve supporting colleagues at other sites as needed to ensure equitable access to physiotherapy services across the District. There may also be opportunities for additional hours in a casual or fixed-term capacity within the same team across Hutt Valley, Kenepuru, or Kapiti. In this role, the physiotherapist will assess and treat individuals aged over 5 years old who are experiencing a range of musculoskeletal conditions due to injury, acute elective surgery, or chronic health issues. The role may also involve contributing to orthopaedic/fracture clinics and leading group classes. Additionally, the physiotherapist will provide mentorship and support to rotational staff and undergraduate students, contributing to the development of clinical skills while also assisting colleagues in other clinical areas as needed. About the Team/Service Location Our team consists of Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy, and Advanced Clinical Practice Physiotherapists (ACPP) specializing in Orthopaedics. We operate across four primary sites in Capital, Coast, and Hutt Valley, with some clinics located in community and primary care settings. About You We are looking for a highly motivated MSK physiotherapist with substantial experience, ideally within the public health system, who possesses strong knowledge in MSK assessment and treatment. You should be eager to further develop your skills and consider potential career advancement into more advanced roles. A self-starter who can adapt to changing situations quickly will thrive in this environment. Requirements - New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with a current annual practicing certificate - Relevant postgraduate qualification or working towards one, with a strong interest in furthering education - A minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 1-2 years in the Musculoskeletal specialty Working at Health New Zealand At Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, we are dedicated to providing excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
