About the Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our busy Outpatient Department. In this role, you will become part of a multi-disciplinary team working in a clinic environment.
Your ability to build rapport with patients, clinicians, and other staff will be essential in achieving quality outcomes for our patients. The Outpatients team is focused on providing personalized, high-quality care across the lifespan. We seek an Enrolled Nurse who is committed to long-term growth and development in their career. You will receive support from fellow health professionals within the multi-disciplinary team. The salary range for this role is NZNO Nursing MECA $69,934 - $83,349 based on experience, pro rata.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our Outpatient Department encompasses a variety of specialties, including Gynaecology, Surgical, Medical, Pre-assessment, ENT, Eyes, and Orthopaedics. We pride ourselves on having a happy and supportive team that collaborates to achieve the best outcomes for our patients and their families.

About You
We are looking for an experienced Enrolled Nurse with the following qualifications and skills:
- Strong nursing knowledge base and experience within the New Zealand healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and value each member's role in patient care.
- Clear and compassionate communication skills with patients, whanau, and colleagues, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Respect for diverse backgrounds and a commitment to providing equitable, culturally appropriate care.
- Comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- A caring approach that supports patients and their whanau through injury and recovery.
- Precision in documentation, assessment, and follow-up to ensure safe and effective care.
- Strong critical thinking skills and sound judgment in clinical challenges.
- Capacity to manage stress, support others, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- A willingness to stay updated with best practices, new technologies, and evolving clinical guidelines.
You will also demonstrate sensitivity in various situations, interacting with a diverse range of individuals, including members of the public and hospital staff. Familiarity with the Privacy Act is essential.
To be successful in this role, you ideally possess:
- Knowledge and experience in the New Zealand healthcare setting.
- A strong ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
- Competence in using computer systems and a quick aptitude for learning new web-based clinical applications as required.
- A passion for working in an outpatient setting, along with excellent time management and communication skills.
- Experience in collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
- A sensitive approach to individualizing care with a focus on cultural awareness and safety.
- Resilience in a busy environment.
