About the Role The deployment period for this position is expected to be from approximately October 2025 through to March 2026. This role demands resilience and dedication, as you will be residing in one of the most isolated yet stunning environments in the world for several months. Our HVAC Engineers will be integral to a large commercial construction project. The ideal candidates will have commercial experience working with boilers, HVAC fans, unit heaters, hydronic pumps, wall radiators, and pipe fitting. We are looking for hard-working team players who are willing to contribute across various tasks and ensure a collaborative work environment. Requirements Please note that due to travel restrictions, we can only accept applications from New Zealand and US citizens who hold New Zealand or US passports and are currently living and working in New Zealand. Candidates must be willing to receive vaccinations for Flu, Tdap, and MMR. The position involves long hours, typically six days a week, and is not a fly-in, fly-out arrangement. Start dates are approximate and contingent upon passing medical and dental examinations, obtaining security clearance, fulfilling any notice period, and the availability of flights to the ice. Additionally, applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and hold a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence with a clean criminal record. Medical and dental exams will take place in Tauranga, and we will cover the associated testing and flight costs for those traveling from outside the Bay of Plenty. Benefits We offer competitive compensation at a rate of $73.64 per hour on a contract basis, with payments made fortnightly in NZD for a maximum of 54 hours per week. We also provide flights from any major New Zealand airport, food, shared accommodation, and travel insurance. All necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be supplied.
