About the Role We are excited to offer a permanent, full-time position as a Recruitment Advisor within our Taranaki recruitment team, based at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth. In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will play a crucial part in recruiting Mental Health Clinicians, Allied Health professionals, and Administration staff, contributing directly to our national health targets. As a Recruitment Advisor, you will provide operational guidance, advice, and support to people leaders throughout the recruitment process. Your responsibilities will include delivering candidate-centric services to ensure a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will also mentor junior team members, lead portfolio-specific projects, and participate in recruitment events. Key Responsibilities - Manage the full recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding. - Collaborate closely with clinicians to understand the specific vacancies you are recruiting for. - Deliver recruitment services that align with workforce strategies and professional registration requirements. - Provide advice on sourcing and candidate attraction strategies. - Coach hiring managers on best practices in recruitment and assessment methods. - Ensure timely communication and support for candidates throughout the recruitment process. - Participate in health sector employment initiatives and recruitment events. About the Team The recruitment team at Health New Zealand is focused on implementing innovative national and local strategies that enhance candidate attraction, branding, and process improvement. In this role, you will have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while receiving support from a dedicated team that values teamwork and enjoys the challenge of hiring exceptional health professionals for our front-line services. About You To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience: - A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in a senior recruitment or talent role. - A minimum of three years of relevant experience in an advisory position in recruitment. - Knowledge of New Zealand legislation and its application in a large, complex organization. - Experience in the public health sector is preferred. - Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders. - A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
