About the Role We are excited to offer a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a Senior Recruitment Advisor on an 18-month fixed-term, full-time basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in recruiting our senior medical staff, directly impacting our ability to meet national health targets. As a Senior Recruitment Advisor, you will provide both strategic and operational recruitment guidance to our people leaders. Your responsibilities will include delivering candidate-centric recruitment services, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. You will also mentor and support junior team members while leading specific projects and recruitment events. Key Responsibilities - Manage the full recruitment process for Senior Medical Officers, from sourcing candidates to onboarding. - Collaborate closely with clinicians to understand the specific vacancies you are recruiting for. - Deliver recruitment services that align with workforce strategies and professional registration requirements. - Provide advice on sourcing and candidate attraction strategies. - Coach hiring managers on best practices in recruitment and assessment methods. - Ensure timely communication and support for candidates throughout the recruitment process. - Participate in health sector employment initiatives and recruitment events. About the Team/Service/Location Health New Zealand is undergoing a significant transformation in its recruitment strategies. We are focusing on national and local initiatives aimed at enhancing candidate attraction, branding, and process improvement. We are seeking innovative recruiters to help us realize these goals. In this role, you will have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while receiving strong support from a collaborative team. Our team values both hard work and a positive atmosphere, finding satisfaction in the challenge of recruiting exceptional health professionals for our frontline services. This position is based at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth and specifically covers the Senior Medical Officer portfolio within the Taranaki recruitment team. About You To thrive in this role, you will need: - A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in a senior recruitment or talent role. - At least five years of relevant experience in an advisory role within recruitment. - Knowledge of New Zealand legislation and its application in a large, complex organization. - Preferred experience in the public health sector. - Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders. - A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
