This role requires flexibility in working hours, with shifts ranging from 5:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Occasionally, you may be required to work later depending on the timing of functions. The position is based at RNZAF Ohakea, located in the Manawatu district, which offers a unique opportunity to work at a busy and diverse Air Force Base. The area is known for its outdoor activities, including excellent fly fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, and mountain biking, making it an ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts. Our ideal candidate will possess at least three years of experience in a high-volume industrial kitchen and be comfortable working independently as well as supervising a small team. A trade qualification in catering or culinary arts, completion of a Food Hygiene course, and knowledge of general kitchen operations are essential. A full, unrestricted driver's license is also required for this role.
