    About the Company We are a burgeoning Indo-Kiwi takeaway committed to delivering delicious and innovative fusion dishes. As we expand our operations after acquiring an existing business, we are excited to grow our team. Our aim is to create a vibrant and welcoming environment for both our staff and customers. About the Role We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Cooks to join our team. This full-time position guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the takeaway operating until 4 AM. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary talent and creativity while contributing to our unique menu. Key Responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of Indian and Kiwi-style dishes. You will plan and organize daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service during our extended hours. Your role will also involve portioning food, plating meals, and ensuring the highest quality of presentation. Additionally, you will monitor stock levels and order supplies to maintain appropriate inventory. Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards is crucial. You will also be responsible for cleaning kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a hygienic working environment. Training and supervising kitchen assistants or junior staff may also be part of your responsibilities. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have relevant experience as a cook or chef, preferably in Indian cuisine or fusion food. A relevant qualification in cookery is essential if you do not meet the work experience requirement. A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices is necessary, as is the ability to work flexible shifts, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays. Excellent time management skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment are also important.
