About the Role We are currently seeking approximately 70 carpenters for a variety of projects in the Northland area. Our clients need skilled professionals for both large commercial projects and high-end residential work. These roles are available immediately, and we are offering competitive pay rates ranging from $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, with weekly pay. We can guarantee a minimum of 30 hours of work per week, with the possibility of up to 55 hours. The position is full-time and comes with a permanent employment agreement. We also provide full personal protective equipment (PPE) and opportunities for training and upskilling. Requirements To be considered for these roles, candidates should have: - A minimum of three years of carpentry experience - Their own toolbelt and power tools - A strong physical fitness level and a solid work ethic - A valid Site Safe certification, which is advantageous but not essential - Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices The responsibilities for this position include: - Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, as well as preparing layouts - Cutting materials and assembling various components - Erecting frameworks, panelized systems, and roof framing - Laying sub-flooring and floorboards while ensuring structural accuracy - Nailing fascia panels, sheathing roofs, and fitting exterior wall cladding along with door and window frames - Assembling prepared wood to create structures and fittings ready for installation Benefits At Trade Assist, we are committed to ensuring our team members are respected, valued, and rewarded for their hard work.
