We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. About the Role In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing precise cost estimates, preparing comprehensive commercial tenders, and ensuring that all estimates align with engineering requirements and project schedules. Your contributions will be essential in securing large-scale civil projects and maintaining the high standards that our clients expect. Key Responsibilities - Prepare subcontracts and material inquiries, and review received quotations. - Develop accurate cost estimates for permanent works in both elemental and analytical formats. - Estimate preliminary resources needed for project delivery, ensuring alignment with the agreed-upon program and engineering requirements. - Validate labor and plant resources to confirm their alignment with the tender program. - Prepare and submit commercial tenders to clients, ensuring compliance with contract documents. - Review proposed contracts post-tender acceptance to ensure alignment with original inquiry documents. - Present commercial handover documents to the contract delivery team. - Collaborate with construction teams to gather output and resource data for future tenders. Requirements - Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Proven experience in estimating and successfully securing large-scale civil projects valued at $500 million or more. - Strong understanding of engineering techniques and construction processes, with a focus on their practical applicability. - Excellent ability to assess site conditions through physical inspections and the interpretation of surveys and investigations. - A hands-on, practical approach complemented by exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in estimating software, such as Expert, and other related tools.
