About the Role We are currently looking for an experienced Manager to lead our Timber & Building Department. This full-time position consists of 40 hours per week, operating from Monday to Friday, and will report directly to the Store Manager. In this role, you will collaborate closely with an experienced second-in-command and Team Leaders, overseeing the Trade Drive-Thru, Power Tools, and Timber & Building Supplies. Core Capabilities To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following capabilities: - Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service while prioritizing the best interests of the company. - Industry Expertise: Possess strong knowledge of DIY, power tools, timber, and building supplies. - Communication & Leadership: Exhibit the ability to manage performance, motivate teams, and drive success. - Financial Acumen: Showcase expertise in budget management and inventory control. - Health & Safety Compliance: Have a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe environment for both staff and customers. - Valid Driver's License: Hold a full New Zealand Class 1 driver's license; a forklift license is advantageous.
