Description
About the Company
Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) is a Charitable Trust established in 1906. Our mission is to walk alongside people across generations, creating spaces where they can live, learn, and thrive together. We advocate for positive change and address social injustices. PSO operates a respected network of nine care homes throughout Otago and provides various community-based social support programs.
Our services for older adults are delivered through Enliven, where we focus on creating elder-centered communities. We aim to ensure that older individuals experience companionship, meaningful activities, purpose, and enjoyment in their lives. Our facility, Iona, is located in Oamaru, a region rich in history and heritage, and is set within expansive, park-like grounds. Iona accommodates 79 residents, providing hospital and rest home level care, and our three-year Ministry of Health certification reflects our commitment to quality systems, processes, and living environments. At PSO, we uphold values of integrity, respect, courage, manaaki, and aroha.

This is a permanent, part-time position, requiring 21 hours of work per fortnight. You will work three hours each day from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In the first week, your schedule will include Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, while the second week will involve Wednesday and Thursday.
About You
We are looking for an ideal candidate who is:

While experience in an aged care environment is preferred, it is not essential as we provide comprehensive training. Having a Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent qualification will be a distinct advantage.
