About the Role
We are looking for a skilled machine operator to manage and operate our equipment on various earthworks, land development, and civil infrastructure projects in and around Auckland. This position requires no work outside of the Auckland region.
Ideal candidates will be reliable and versatile, capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and attributes:
- A minimum of three years of practical experience in machine operation or earthmoving on site
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and comply with our drug and alcohol policy
- A valid driver's license
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and be exposed to the elements
- Availability to work on Saturdays
- Mechanical acumen and a positive attitude towards work
- Understanding of safe work practices relevant to an earthworks or civil environment
- Ability to make sound decisions efficiently and a desire to assist and learn from others
- Willingness to expand knowledge of operations beyond general duties
- Ability to assist with maintenance, clean-up, and other tasks as directed by the Site Supervisor or Manager
- Capability to identify potential hazards in and around the work area
This role may involve experience with erosion and sediment control measures, shear key earthworks, bulk earthworks, trenching, and trimming to final surface levels.

This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
