About the Role We have two exciting opportunities for experienced Sheet Metal Roofers available in Wellington and Palmerston North. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of commercial and residential roofing projects, encompassing installation, repairs, and ongoing maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include: - Roof Installation and Repairs: Installing new sheet metal roofing systems and repairing existing ones as needed. - Metal Fabrication and Cutting: Accurately measuring and cutting sheet metal to fit the specific roof structure. - Waterproofing and Sealing: Applying appropriate coatings and sealants to ensure roofs are resistant to weather elements. - Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, including working at heights and utilizing protective gear. - Team Collaboration: Coordinating with other tradespeople, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. - Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Identifying and addressing roofing issues such as leaks, corrosion, or installation challenges. What We're Looking For We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Proven experience in sheet metal roofing. - Relevant certifications, including Working at Heights certification. - A clean driving license. - A strong work ethic with close attention to detail. - The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - A commitment to health and safety regulations. Requirements To ensure a successful application, candidates must meet the following requirements: - Completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. - A strong track record of reliability and high-quality work. - Valid working rights for New Zealand.
