We are currently working with a client based in Hornby who is looking to expand their team. Our client operates in a fast-paced logistics environment and is committed to providing comprehensive training for new staff members.
About the Role
We are seeking full-time staff who are available to work four 10-hour shifts each week. The role involves working in a cold-store environment, where temperatures can reach as low as -23 degrees Celsius. A freezer suit will be provided for your comfort. You will be utilizing a voice pick system to select a variety of chilled and frozen goods.
No previous experience is necessary, as we provide all the training you will need to succeed in this position.
Duties include:
- Picking and packing orders using a voice pick headset
- Working in a cold-store environment with temperatures as low as -23 degrees Celsius
- Being physically fit and capable of lifting items weighing up to 25 kilograms
Hours of Work
You will be scheduled to work four 10-hour shifts each week, which will include shifts on Sunday.
Business Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Saturday: 5:30 AM - finish (before 12:00 PM)
- Sunday: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
The starting rate for this position is $24.50 per hour, plus 8% holiday pay.
The Successful Candidate Will
- Be flexible to work both Saturday and Sunday shifts each week
- Have reliable transportation for early shifts
- Have experience with a voice pick system (preferred but not essential)
- Be a fast learner, capable of meeting pick rates and daily targets
- Be physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting
