    About the Company We are a thriving Indian restaurant located in Botany, known for our vibrant atmosphere and dedication to authentic cuisine. We are currently seeking a Sweet Maker/Cook to become a valued member of our team. Our ideal candidate is hard-working, energetic, self-motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional results for our customers. About the Role In this role, you will bring your expertise in Indian sweets and snacks to our kitchen. Your experience will help us maintain our high standards of quality and authenticity. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with wages ranging from $26 to $32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess one of the following: - A Level 4 Trade Certificate or Diploma - At least 2 years of relevant experience in Indian cuisine You should have a minimum of two years’ experience in preparing Indian sweets, snacks, and a variety of foods. This includes knowledge of traditional Indian sweets such as ladoos, barfi, kalakand, besan, rasgulla, gulab jamun, dhodhabar, namkeen, and bulk food preparation for catering. Job Duties Your responsibilities will include: - Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality - Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment - Preparing and cooking food to our specifications - Seasoning food during cooking for optimal flavor - Portioning food, plating it, and adding gravies, sauces, and garnishes - Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities - Preparing food to accommodate special dietary requirements - Planning menus and estimating food requirements when needed - Training other kitchen staff and apprentices as necessary - Following best food handling practices to ensure food safety and hygiene Benefits We offer competitive wages ranging from $26 to $32 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications.
