We work as one cohesive team, united by our mission to enhance the lives of our residents. About the Role We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant for our Rototuna village. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the daily operations of our kitchen. Your support will enable our chefs to prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents and visitors. Your responsibilities will include: - Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning - Helping with the plating and presentation of meals - Operating dishwashers and ensuring that all kitchenware is properly sanitized - Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment - Assisting with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries, including stock rotation This position is casual and will involve working on an as-needed basis. Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on the wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents and their families. About You We are looking for someone who is approachable, reliable, and a true team player. A strong work ethic and a genuine desire to support a high-performing kitchen are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess: - Previous work experience, ideally in the hospitality sector - A friendly, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills - Good physical stamina - The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team Additional Information Joining the Summerset team means becoming part of an environment where your work truly makes a difference.
