About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in either Thames or Wiri. In this role, you will oversee the integrity of the company's financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to strategic financial planning.
Your responsibilities will include managing the month-end process, statutory reporting, tax compliance, audits, and financial analysis, providing essential support to the Finance Team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Prior experience in Australian and/or New Zealand accounting
- A strong understanding of Australian and/or New Zealand taxation requirements and accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with effective time management abilities to meet deadlines and KPIs
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas, expectations, and information clearly
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- Professional integrity and confidentiality, along with a high level of corporate and personal presentation
- A keen interest in developing a deep understanding of geosynthetics and their design function
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach
- Accountability and adaptability, along with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude
- Approachable and positive interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships at all levels
Desirable qualifications include:
- CPA or CA qualification
- Experience in public accounting practice
- Familiarity with NetSuite or ERP systems
